What did we do before Amazon?

I can’t remember. What I do remember were those house parties where a representative from a multi-level marketing company would have “toy parties” where they would show you a variety of things that you could buy, & then you could go in the “back room” with them & buy things in private.

Everyone would come out with a bag of goodies & we would giggle & pretend that you only bought things for your spouse (gasp if you would consider a toy for yourself). I still remember the friend of mine that came out with the biggest bag of goodies & wondering what she bought but not being brave enough to just ask!

Nowadays you can google anything from the privacy of your home, order whatever tickles your fancy (sorry but I love puns!), and have it shipped to your front door in discrete packaging. Even better, though, you can shop locally so that you can get a feel for things, ask questions, & support small businesses. In Asheville, there is a store called VaVaVoom; amazing, yes?!?!?!?!
